Honda CR-V Dual-Tone Edition – black roof version to mark 25th year in Malaysia, 300 units, from RM170k

Last month, Honda Malaysia announced the introduction of the CR-V Dual-Tone Edition, a 300-unit limited-run version designed to commemorate the company’s 25th anniversary of operations in Malaysia.

As the suffix suggests, the sixth-gen model – which was Malaysia’s best-selling C-segment SUV last year – gains a secondary body colour in the form of a black roof, with the application of the shade extending to the A-pillar and side mirror covers. It’s the first time the CR-V is being offered with such a colour combination in Malaysia.

Two primary exterior colours are available for the black roof special, and they are Ignite Red Metallic and the Platinum White Pearl. Buyers can pick from two variants of the SUV for the edition, and these are the E and V AWD grades, the latter being the version seen in these photos.

Besides the roof colour, there are no specification or mechanical changes, and so the L15BE 1.5L VTEC turbo four-pot found in both RW variants continues to offer 193 PS (190 hp) at 6,000 rpm and 243 Nm from 1,700 to 5,000 rpm. Kit remains the same as before.

The neat news is that going the two-tone route comes at no extra cost, with the E continuing to be priced at RM169,900 and V, at RM181,900, both on-the-road without insurance. So, if you fancy having your CR-V in a two-tone colour scheme from the get-go, this is it.

Compare prices between different insurer providers to save the most on your car insurance renewal compared to other competing services. Many payment method supported and you can pay with instalment using Grab PayLater or Shopee SPayLater.
